STEVE VAN BELLE: Guitars, Vocals - Born in New York City, Steve came to San Diego, California around age 6. With parents making sure he attended church regularly, Steve was 10 years old when a Sunday School teacher led him to salvation. But in the ninth grade Steve became unsure that he was really saved, so he went forward at a Billy Graham outreach. The counselor gave him wonderful assurance that when he had received Jesus as Lord and Savior he had been truly saved. Steve never doubted his salvation again. “I have always loved music and love serving the Lord through music.”, says Steve. “The most important thing in life is to believe in Jesus and love one another. The power of The Holy Spirit and wisdom make it possible to live this.” His blessings continued when I met and married Sharon. The Lord has healed my life through her ministry to me.

SHARON VAN BELLE: Keyboards, Vocals - Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, the forth of five sisters, Sharon was brought up in a broken family. But Sharon’s mom made every effort to get her to church each Sunday and salvation came at age 11; result of a Nazarene Pastor and his wife. “They showed me God’s unconditional love and I wanted the love that they had in their lives.” Sharon shares, “They were a very musical family and my exposure to this Pastor’s family gave me a greater love for music.”

TOM DOOGAN: Drums - Tom first picked up drumsticks in the fifth grade as part of the school’s music program. Tom says, “I remember seeing a kid play Wipe Out on a snare drum at a school assembly and thought it was pretty cool. Having tried piano and trumpet, percussion reached me in a different way. Fortunately my family moved into a district that had strong music programs. I studied everything from jazz to the more legit disciplines, but my real passion at the time was progressive rock drumming and rudimental percussion.” After graduation, Tom instructed percussion at several local high schools. He also drummed in several local Christian groups, performing throughout California. Tom currently serves on the Worship Team at Eastside Community Church in the San Diego area.

GARY GEORGE: Guitars, Vocals - Playing guitar and singing in bands most of his life, Gary accepted the Lord as a teenager, but didn’t really commit to a relationship with Him until 1996 when he visited a church and the worship team played a song called, “You Are My God”. “The song, simply put, broke my heart and that day I rededicated my life to the Lord.”, says Gary. That day had a huge impact on Gary, changing his purpose for playing music from selfish reasons to playing music for the Lord. Through this process, the Lord has blessed Gary with a desire to lead others to the Him through leading Praise & Worship. Gary’s musical influences are fairly diverse. But growing up a Beatles fan would explain his love for catchy melodic songs that get stuck in your head. Gary says, “My heart’s desire is to write music that glorifies God as well as be melodic and memorable. What could be better than having a praise/worship song stuck in their head all day!”

T.J. HILL: Bass - With a strong love of Jazz and Progressive Rock, T.J. started playing bass in art school just so he could “hang out with some musicians”. This led T.J. to play around the world in several bands of various styles and influences. T.J. has served on many worship teams including Horizon Christian Fellowship, The Rock Church and Journey Community Church. T.J. is also involved with Roy Cochran and Worship Foundations International, a mentoring organization for strengthening and encouraging worship leaders, musicians and artists. T.J.’s background in Christian Radio as well as graphic arts has also come in handy in the music world.
